Cannabis plants found at fire bombing

POLICE have stumbled across a crop of cannabis plants at a suburban unit where a molotov cocktail hurled through a window started a fire.

The petrol bomb was thrown through the front window of the unit in Main Road, St Albans in Melbourne about 10.15pm (AEST) yesterday, police said.

Police believe a person was in the unit at the time the molotov cocktail was thrown but left before police arrived.

After inspecting the scene, police discovered about 35 cannabis plants being harvested in several rooms of the house.
